This role provides in-person HR support to a manufacturing facility in Moses Lake, WA, serving as a key member of the HR team to assist in driving systemic organizational and people strategies aligned with the business strategy. The position involves collaborating to diagnose manager and Team Member capability needs and designing ongoing learning and development plans. It also includes consulting with the leadership team on implementing management capabilities that result in an open, inclusive, and diverse environment based on The Terex Way values, and assisting in building management capability to facilitate an effective employee relations environment. The role ensures it is perceived as an objective employee resource and escalation path for unresolved employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing conflict resolution as necessary. Additionally, the position participates in various projects across assigned client groups, such as the implementation of annual performance and talent reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR role, and/or a combination of advanced training and education.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, and exposure to Lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated competence in coaching managers at all levels, employee relations and knowledge of employment laws (i.e. EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA)
  • Must be able to multi-task, deal effectively with ambiguity, recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems in a matrixed and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to think strategically are essential.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, excellent time management, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable
