About The Position

Det’on Cho Management LP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist. This role provides operational HR support across multiple DCMLP entities and serves as a key resource for managers and employees. The HR Generalist ensures consistent delivery of HR services including recruitment coordination, employee relations support, HRIS administration, performance documentation, and policy compliance.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now considered an asset
  • Knowledge of NWT Employment Standards legislation preferred
  • Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture, and way of life considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
  • Coordinating recruitment activities including postings, screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks
  • Preparing employment documentation and supporting onboarding processes
  • Maintaining accurate employee records within ADP Workforce Now
  • Processing employment changes, terminations, and leave entries
  • Supporting performance management documentation and probation tracking
  • Coach and mentor junior/entry level HR team members to support team development and service consistency.
  • Assisting with employee relations matters and escalating complex issues appropriately
  • Supporting benefits administration and employee inquiries
  • Assisting with payroll data accuracy and generating HR reports
  • Ensuring consistent application of policies and compliance with employment legislation
