Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Prefer two (2) years Human Resources experience preferably with medical background.
  • Knowledge of payroll and employment documentation.
  • Knowledge of how to use Personal Computer and Human Resources software applications.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration procedures.
  • Skill in using Human Resources Information System computer capabilities.
  • Skill in processing payroll and benefits information accurately.
  • Skill in clear presentation of benefits information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple administrative projects.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Gains overall conceptual knowledge of Medical Oncology/Hematology and healthcare to assist in primary duties of Human Resources department.
  • Maintains all employee I-9 forms, new hire compliance, and new hire OSHA/HIPAA files in a confidential manner as directed by the Human Resources Director.
  • Completes the data entry of department schedules for all coordinators, completes time exceptions for coordinators, keys leave requests for all APPs in a timely manner for the completion of employee payroll, and completes monthly APP hours report.
  • Assists in the interview process of potential employees when needed.
  • Completes necessary pre-hire documents with potential employees and orders background checks and drug/alcohol screenings.
  • Follow up prior to new hire orientation to ensure documents have been received.
  • Responsible for completing IT setup requests for all new hires.
  • Communicate with the new hire during the onboarding experience to make certain they are completing their tasks in a timely manner, including the pre-hire assigned readings and online training.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and ensures all new hire and enrollment forms are complete.
  • Routinely files documents in employment files/medical files for both the assistant position and the director position.
  • Assists the Human Resources Director with attendance records, overtime reports, updating Terms of Employment, ordering uniforms, ordering services awards, and updating appropriate spreadsheets and checklists when needed.
  • Filing of employee documents attained by the assistant and the Human Resources Director.
  • Routinely scans and uploads documents in Workday.
  • Monthly review of employee files.
  • Move terminated employee files to the archive files.
  • Removal and destruction of employee files/records in accordance with the CCC Employee Records Retention Policy.
  • Acts as liaison with other departments, employees, and outside agencies.
  • Assists in benefit administration.
  • Attends continuing education to stay abreast of current laws and regulations.
  • Assists with special projects as required.
  • Handles high level of stress.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
