About The Position

Functions as the initial primary contact into LexaMar Corporation and a center point for communications. Receives callers both internally and externally, including customers, contractors, applicants, corporate staff, and visitors. Determines the nature of business and generates action based on information. Prepares for and secures additional arrangements for on-site customer visits and meetings. Provides HR administrative support as required.

Requirements

  • Standard or above attendance record
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • 2-3 years prior experience as a Human Resources Administrator and a strong Knowledge of Accounting.
  • Demonstrate above average professional phone skills.
  • Demonstrate ability and command of the English language in written format, composing memos, letters, announcements, etc.
  • Demonstrate PC literacy in a minimum of Word, Excel, and/or experience in other software applications with intentions to advance your PC software knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; including but not limited to stressful situations with the use of conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrate and prove your ability to handle and process confidential information.
  • Work independently and show self-motivation.
  • Partner in projects managed by and for Human Resources.
  • Other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains Kronos records.
  • Answers and transfers incoming telephone calls to the primary LexaMar number.
  • Greets customers, contractors, applicants, corporate staff, and visitors, and contacts appropriate personnel.
  • Responsible for the preset appearance standard for both rooms at all times.
  • Performs HR administrative support with computer functions based in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, People Soft, Empower, Knowledge Point and Lotus Notes software applications.
  • Maintains and helps implement new payroll and time and attendance systems.
  • Other projects as directed.
  • Promotes safety & environmental compliance within the team by being involved in and/or supporting safety and environmental audit programs, completing audit tasks as assigned or required and reporting any possible unsafe or non-compliant environmental conditions or actions.
  • Encourages safe work habits, and the immediate communication of unsafe conditions.
  • Understands, supports, implements, and ensures compliance to all company and governmental agencies safety & environmental standards, policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Complies with all applicable federal, state, local, customer and corporate requirements, standards, and regulations including; OSHA, EPA, MDEQ, and ISO 14001.
  • Actively prevents pollution and reduces waste, & supports the attainment of Company or Department environmental goals and/or objectives.
  • Maintains an understanding of how their specific job can affect the environment or the health and safety of themselves or others.
