About The Position

Motor skill development through the life span. Influence of different developmental perspectives on interpretations of why motor development has occurred; nature versus nurture argument; inter-relatedness of motor, perceptual, and cognitive development. Integrated laboratory sessions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Kinetics (Motor Control or Psychomotor) or in a field related to the course.
  • 3 credits / 3 credits
  • 39 hours of teaching per semester
  • Mode d'enseignement / Teaching mode : Hybrid (virtual and in-person, on campus)
  • Horaire / Schedule: LUN/MON 8:30:00 AM 11:20:00 AM
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Human Kinetics (Motor Control or Psychomotor) or in a field related to the course.
  • Experience teaching in a university setting is preferred.
  • Expérience en enseignement universitaire est un atout / Experience teaching in a university setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • 39 hours of teaching per semester
  • Teach Human Motor Skill Development course (APA 3121 Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester.
  • Conduct integrated laboratory sessions.
  • Deliver instruction in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person, on campus).
