The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is seeking a Human Capital Management Analyst to join their team at the Columbus Developmental Center. This role involves providing support across various HR functions, including payroll, benefits, leave administration, training, and employee engagement. Requirements

  • 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.
  • 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Assist central office payroll with timesheet review, pay adjustments, and leave auditing.
  • Support employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries related to retirement, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and disability programs.
  • Assist with FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs by reviewing documentation, tracking entitlements, issuing required notices, coordinating return-to-work procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and employee training, including scheduling, materials preparation, facilitation, and recordkeeping and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings with new or promoted employees.
  • Participate in engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Provide cross-trained support across all HR functions—including staffing, benefits, payroll, leave administration, EEO/ADA compliance, and labor relations—to ensure continuity of services and effective HR operations.
