About The Position

This role involves coordinating BWC employment assessments, including communicating with job applicants, scheduling assessments, and securing administration facilities. The analyst will also proctor in-person assessments in Columbus and other BWC service offices, score assessments, generate reports, and update systems with results. Additionally, the position supports higher-level assessment staff with the job analysis process to develop or update assessments and interviews, and assists with other departmental recruitment efforts such as processing employment verification requests, maintaining personnel files, and coordinating drug tests and background checks. Requirements

  • 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • Knowledge of: BWC personnel policies & procedures; customer support & personal service; Employment laws, rules, & regulations (e.g., ORC, OAC, Uniform Guidelines, ADA).
  • Skills in: personal computer; BWC software & databases; Taleo; Questionmark assessment platform; MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Access, Word); OAKS; Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to: Travel intermittently, within state; briefly lift/transport testing equipment weighing roughly 35lbs; understand manuals and verbal instructions, technical in nature; communicate effectively orally & in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; calculate fractions, decimals, & percentages; collate and classify information about data, people, or things; respond to sensitive inquiries from and contacts with employees, officials & public.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation &/or legally operate a state-owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates BWC employment assessments (e.g., communicates with job applicants, schedules assessments, secures administration facilities).
  • Proctors in-person assessments being conducted in Columbus and other BWC service offices (Toledo, Cleveland, Canton, Youngstown, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Cincinnati).
  • Scores assessments, generates scoring reports/results, and updates various systems with assessment results.
  • Assists higher-level assessment staff with job analysis process in order to develop/update assessments/interviews.
  • Supports other departmental recruitment efforts (e.g., processes employment verification requests, maintains personnel files, coordinates drug tests and background checks).
