Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Human Capital, we are looking for a Human Capital Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience and build a foundation in Human Resources. As a member of the Human Capital team, the Human Capital Intern will provide administrative and coordination support across recruitment, employee lifecycle processes, HRIS administration, payroll and benefits support, reporting, and day-to-day HR operations. Working closely with the Senior Specialist, Human Capital, the successful candidate will gain practical HR experience while supporting key initiatives and contributing to a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Recently completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources principles and a willingness to learn HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with day-to-day Human Capital operations and administrative activities.
  • Supports recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Maintains employee records and assists with HRIS data entry, reporting, and audits.
  • Provides support for onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Assists with payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employee inquiries.
  • Prepares employee letters, documents, and Human Capital communications.
  • Supports workforce reporting, dashboards, and data management.
  • Contributes to Human Capital projects, initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee information and records.
  • Assists with the coordination and execution of L& D programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
