About The Position
The full-time Door Shop Manufacturer works as a production and warehouse associate and assembler on a pre-hanging door assembly line. The role includes routinely maintaining assembly-line equipment, preparing wood materials, assembling doors, handling production materials, monitoring quality, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information to others one-on-one.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding, carry out simple one- or two-step instructions, and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Responsibilities
- Work on a pre-hanging door assembly line as a production and warehouse associate and assembler.
- Routinely maintain equipment on the warehouse assembly line.
- Operate machines and use power saws, air nail guns, staplers, and other tools to prepare wood materials for door assembly.
- Complete forklift training and certification and operate a forklift.
- Load, unload, store, and package production materials from the warehouse as needed.
- Monitor quality assurance throughout the production process.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and observe posted warehouse safety rules.
