About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27607 - Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Working with considerable knowledge of State HR systems and processes.
  • Basic to working knowledge of federal and state laws, and State policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions within the area of responsibility.
  • Able to learn and apply rules, procedures, and practices for various human resources management activities or personnel actions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Salary Administration Analyst in the classification and compensation department.
  • Provide analysis of moderate to complex salary requests agency-wide.
  • Provides consultation to managers in the areas of salary administration approvals.
