About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27607 in Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Working with considerable knowledge of State HR systems and processes.
  • Basic to working knowledge of federal and state laws, and State policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions within the area of responsibility.
  • Able to learn and apply rules, procedures, and practices for various human resources management activities or personnel actions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Salary Administration Analyst in the classification and compensation department.
  • Provide analysis of moderate to complex salary requests agency-wide.
  • Provides consultation to managers in the areas of salary administration approvals.
