About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Human Resources Manager, the HR Office Clerk provides essential administrative support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with core human resources processes, and completing daily clerical and administrative tasks. This is an on-site, part-time position based in Napoleon, OH, working Monday through Friday, 25–28 hours per week. The role requires regular interaction with employees, supervisors, and managers to help ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clerical or administrative experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Perform general HR administrative and clerical duties
  • Assist with new hire onboarding paperwork and employee separations
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR files
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and forms
  • Organize documentation and assist with audit preparation and compliance tracking
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and standard HR procedures
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion
  • Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned
