About The Position

Hamilton by Gunnebo is a security group and one of the leading global suppliers of integrated security solutions and related services. We provide our customers, all over the world with solutions designed to improve their competitiveness. Hamilton is the largest manufacturer of physical security products, pneumatic tube systems and audio/video systems in the United States. This intern role is scheduled to start in January of 2027. PURPOSE: The HR Co-op will support the Human Resources team in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional HR environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience working with supervisors and employees.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Monthly Audit of Benefit Invoices
  • Bi-weekly point report to Supervisors noting missing warnings
  • File employee files in cabinets and move terminated files to appropriate cabinet
  • Work with Marketing to add HR Content to the café’ monitors.
  • HR Plant Communication Board: Clean-up policies (laminate), post events etc.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Help organize well-being activities, employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics.
  • Provide administrative support for training and development initiatives.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.
