As part of Detection and Measurement, CUES is a world leader in water, wastewater, and storm water inspection equipment, offering CCTV cameras, pre-built vehicles, and software for pipeline inspection and rehabilitation to improve water infrastructure systems. The HR Temp is a short-term assignment that will support the existing HR team members by creating templates, checklists, and dashboards, updating existing HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and using AI to automate and streamline repetitive tasks. This is a hands-on position that interacts with manufacturing employees and support staff, with a primary focus on employee relations, recruiting, payroll, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, student working toward Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Ceridian Time and Attendance is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as onsite HR contact for employee questions, escalating to local HR team as needed.
  • Assist with employee disciplinary and workplace investigations.
  • Support coordination of annual activities and events that enhance employee engagement.
  • Support the hiring of temporary agencies, local technical schools, and business partnerships.
  • Standardize new hire onboarding, orientations, and 90-day evaluations.
  • Standardize communications and create templates for performance management, compliance training, and employee onboarding/offboarding tasks.
  • Assist with automation of existing HR processes and procedures, including employee leaves and returns, electronic filing of personnel documents, communications planning, and quarterly/annual awards distributions.
  • Keep bulletin boards up to date with state-required information and postings.
  • Track signed acknowledgments for employee handbook distribution.
