About The Position

The HR Generalist will develop a strong partnership with General Managers and site leadership to understand their business needs, goals, and provide people guidance. This role provides day-to-day support to employees regarding benefits, ADP access, policies, and compliance. The HR Generalist will also offer coaching and guidance to managers on complex people matters, proactively analyze data and trends to identify improvement opportunities, and develop proactive solutions. Collaboration with the People Group is key for developing and implementing initiatives and programs that support company and department goals, drive employee engagement, and increase retention. Continuous education on best practices and legal requirements is essential for compliance. The role serves as an advocate for employees, ensuring their concerns and feedback are heard and addressed. Additionally, the HR Generalist will lead, participate in, and partner on company and site initiatives to drive change, streamline processes, and build on the company's people-first mindset. The position requires the ability to work in excess of 40 hours as business needs arise, regular and reliable attendance, and the willingness to perform any other task deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience within HR
  • Benefits Administration/Open enrollment facilitation
  • Familiarity with LOA, DOL, FLSA, FMLA, and other local and federal guidelines
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to details
  • Experience in multiple manufacturing locations
  • Highly organized and able to drive projects independently
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Comfort learning new technologies
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • HRIS – ADP Workforce Now

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM (CP/SCP) or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) certification
  • Experience in a Union environment
  • HRIS implementation experience
