About The Position

The HR Generalist will be responsible for creating and executing strategy for effective staffing, recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants. This role involves managing employee relations, including investigations, employee concerns, and corrective actions. The HR Generalist will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, support new initiatives and policy changes, and manage the onboarding process for new hires. Additionally, this position will administer and promote benefit programs, oversee training functions, implement succession plans, and support the performance review process. Maintaining confidential information is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of Human Resources experience required.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be a good communicator and willing to speak frequently to various types of individuals and via various communication mediumsemail, phone and in-person.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to handle large volumes of projects.
  • Must be comfortable with honest and direct communication with the ability to hold individuals to their deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and executes strategy for effective staffing of all company positions.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Perform all HR functions as it relates to employee relations, duties included but not limited to: fact-finding investigations, having an open door for employee concerns/complaints, make recommendations to management team based on HR perspective, complete corrective actions in partnership with corporate HR team.
  • Primary contact for employee relations issues for MD retail and Colorado operations divisions.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Supports VPHR on new initiatives, company policy changes, policy revisions, and roll outs.
  • Responsible for the new hire process for all MD Retail and Colorado warehouse needs ensure all new employees complete their onboarding via Paycom.
  • HRIS & POS input support--including inputting all new hires into HRIS and POS systems.
  • Administers, promotes, and educates employees on benefit programs such as medical, dental, prescription drug, group life & AD&D insurance, 401k retirement plan, TDI, manages open enrollment.
  • Oversee all training functions of the Colorado facilities, including but not limited to; completing training needs assessments, creating training, executing training, and tracking that all training is consistently completed.
  • Implement a succession plan for the Elevations facility, to stay on top of filling positions once any threat of turnover is identified.
  • Support performance review process by partnering with management team to offer feedback from an HR Standpoint, offer guidance on ratings, and ensuring timely execution of all performance reviews.
  • Maintain confidential information relating to employees and/or company.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
