About The Position

The HR Generalist will partner with branch leadership to support and address site business initiatives, issues, and challenges. This role will support the daily HR operations of the branch, including processing status changes, tracking attendance, and managing UKG issues. The HR Generalist will address lower-grade employee relations matters, such as attendance, performance management, and conduct, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation. They will also support the HR Manager in conducting higher-grade investigations and serve as a point of contact for employee HR concerns, answering questions and providing guidance on topics like payroll, health plan options, and vacation policy. Additionally, the HR Generalist will partner with the Branch Ambassador to ensure a smooth new employee experience, assist the HR Manager in compiling and analyzing People Metrics, suggest training needs, and help implement new policies, procedures, and protocols under the direction of the HR Manager. Processing payroll change notices (PCNs) and updates in UKG is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR operations
  • Proficiency in processing status changes, tracking attendance, and managing HRIS issues (e.g., UKG)
  • Experience in handling employee relations matters (attendance, performance management, conduct)
  • Ability to conduct investigations and ensure documentation is consistent, thorough, and accurate
  • Strong communication and guidance skills for employee inquiries (payroll, benefits, policies)
  • Experience in onboarding new employees and ensuring proper documentation
  • Skills in compiling and analyzing HR metrics (turnover, issues, safety)
  • Ability to suggest and identify training needs
  • Experience in implementing new policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in processing payroll change notices (PCNs)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with branch leadership in supporting and addressing site business initiatives, issues & challenges.
  • Support the daily HR operations of the branch – processing status changes, tracking attendance, UKG issues, etc.
  • Address lower grade employee relations matters as necessary – i.e. attendance, performance management, conduct, etc. - ensuring documentation is consistent, thorough and accurate.
  • Support HR Manager in conducting higher grade investigations.
  • Be a point of contact for employee human resources concerns by answering questions and providing guidance - i.e. payroll questions, health plan options during open enrollment, vacation policy, etc.
  • Partner with the Branch Ambassador to ensure a smooth new employee experience, including ensuring proper new hire documentation is collected and properly submitted.
  • Assist HR Manager in compiling People Metrics within the branch such as turnover/issues/safety, etc. and develop solutions.
  • Suggest training needs such as leadership, safety, employee relations, sexual harassment, etc.
  • Working under the direction of HR Manager, assist in implementing new policies, procedures & protocols into the branch.
  • Process payroll change notices (PCNs) and updates in UKG, as necessary.
