About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for full cycle HR tactics supporting our Upstate and Downstate New York regions while supporting company goals and employee relations. Schweiger is one of the leading dermatology practices in the country with over 580+ healthcare providers and over 170+ offices in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, and California. Schweiger provides medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology and allergy services with over 2.5 million patient visits annually. Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Generalist required.
  • Experience using HRIS system required, Workday preferred.
  • Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Exude excellent employee and candidate relationship building skills.
  • Must be agile, fast-paced, and innovative.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-5 years’ experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Healthcare recruitment experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Employee relations full-service support including being present for and/or conducting disciplinary conversations, investigations, and terminations as needed
  • General benefits knowledge
  • HRIS support and information management
  • Compliance related activities such as ensuring ongoing regulations and certifications are met
  • Recruitment support when needed
  • Coordination of any employee leaves in conjunction with HR leaders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation and company policies
  • Staying aware of any employment and case law that may directly impact the regional supported
  • Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Regularly review compensation to ensure FLSA compliance
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Review and create internal policies and procedures to ensure smooth and thorough best practices
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA & OSHA compliance
  • Assisting with other HR projects and initiatives as needed
