About The Position

This role is for an HR Generalist in a family-owned business that specializes in process and utility piping, with nationwide services in Process & Utility Piping, Process Equipment & Installation, Thermal Fluid, and Industrial HVAC. Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and/or 3+ years proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive in the industrial contracting sector.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases, ADP preferred, not required.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety, workforce planning, and employment regulations specific to the construction or industrial sectors.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, answer high-volume calls, and direct inquiries.
  • Support recruiting activities: pre-employment testing, background checks, and new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain HR records, update employee data in HRIS systems (ADP, Procore, Bernie Portal), and prepare reports.
  • Help coordinate open enrollment, benefits administration, and HR events.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, safety compliance, and policy updates.
  • Manage administrative tasks like timekeeping, OSHA logs, labor law postings, and HR communications.
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
