About The Position

The HR Generalist partners closely with the HR Director to support business objectives, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and create a positive employee experience across the organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee support, and assisting with leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and safety-related processes.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel required
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS systems required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Highly responsive with high level of urgency. Proactive personality.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Be able and willing to drive between locations in MA.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and HR best practices preferred.
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platform and Canva preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, interviewing, job postings, career fairs, and trade school outreach.
  • Coordinate candidate selection process, background checks, and offer letters.
  • Lead onboarding activities and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Serve as a resource to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and HRIS questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and process employment-related paperwork in Paylocity HRIS.
  • Support benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and employee benefit inquiries.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvements that enhance efficiency and employee engagement.
  • Provide administrative support related to FMLA, workers’ compensation, accident reporting, and insurance claims.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
  • Support safety initiatives and documentation as needed.
