About The Position

This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including coordinating onboarding and orientation, managing employee access systems, supporting recruitment efforts, administering HR programs, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist/Recruiter will also assist with employee relations, performance management, and HR policy guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation, including processing new hires in UKG and maintaining new hire documentation.
  • Maintain employee access systems, including facility security codes and fuel account access.
  • Support logistics such as booking travel accommodations for new hires and drivers as needed.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, school outreach, and maintaining candidate pipelines.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes using HRIS platforms.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS/UKG and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
  • Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving workplace concerns, and assisting with investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Track and ensure compliance with required training, certifications, and continuing education.
  • Assist in planning employee events, milestone programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Support performance management, employee evaluations, and training and development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
