J Polep Distribution Services, a division of NCD, would like you to join our dedicated team as a Recruiter/HR Generalist. J Polep has been servicing the New England area and beyond for over 120 years. This position is in Chicopee, MA and reports to the Director of HR and is part of supportive & energetic HR team. Responsibilities are centered around recruiting and onboarding applicants to join our company while being a collaborative member of our HR team. Helping and developing our employees is core components of the HR team and require excellent communication skills at all levels in the company.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ recruiting experience, preferably in a light industrial environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate candidate qualifications
  • Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and industry trends
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals with candidates
  • Time-management skills and multitasking ability
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee information & data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paycom platform preferred
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

  • Understand the hiring requirements of hiring managers.
  • Attract candidates through various channels like social media, professional networks and job fairs.
  • Create and maintain job postings
  • Review resumes and screen candidates
  • Schedule interviews with candidates
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Troubleshoot and help to resolve employee questions
