HR Generalist II
About The Position
The Coos County Human Resources Department is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist II to join our two-person HR team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working directly with people, and being involved in multiple areas of HR. The ideal candidate has solid professional HR experience, can work independently, and is comfortable handling both complex HR matters and everyday administrative tasks. They should enjoy assisting employees, supervisors, and department leaders in finding solutions, managing competing priorities effectively, and handling confidential information with discretion. Teamwork and a willingness to contribute across various HR functions are essential in this small office environment.
Requirements
- At least three years of progressively responsible professional human resources experience
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, leave administration, and employment law compliance
- A current SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent nationally recognized human resources certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Public sector human resources experience is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred, or any satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
