About The Position

Under supervision, provides administrative and technical assistance in support for the human resources function, through servicing employees, managers and internal human resources partners.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, related field desired, or equivalent experience
  • Previous administrative support and/or data entry experience highly desired, but not required.
  • Ability to accurately enter a high volume of data, consistently and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic to proficient computer skills (MS Office)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish) desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the onboarding process for new hires including scheduling drug screens, backgrounds, and orientation coordination.
  • Enters data and processes new hires and other employee and manager transactions in the system of record.
  • Acts as a resource to employees and managers on routine human resources matters via the HR Help Line, fax, and email; communicates and interprets human resource policies, procedures, and practices to leadership and employees.
  • Maintains basic knowledge of various programs human resources supports; referring employees and specialized resources or leaders when appropriate
  • Sorts and distributes departmental mail
  • Assists in the administration of assigned programs.
  • Collaborates with business partners from the human resources, payroll, safety and fleet teams to assist employees and leadership, and to support the administration of various programs and policies.
  • Prepares reports
  • Performs routine audits
  • Assists in processing of departmental bills
  • Organizes and orders departmental supplies
  • Participates in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
