About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator who will manage employee actions in our HRIS/Payroll system, including benefits and other essential HR tasks. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of employee records and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in HR coordination or high-detail administrative work.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing high-volume tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
  • High school diploma/GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of human resources experience preferred.
  • SHRM certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process employee actions in the HRIS/Payroll system, including benefits, W-4, direct deposit, new hires, and terminations.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of employee records and documentation.
  • Conduct routine audits for payroll, benefits, and HR programs to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Assist in the administration of health and welfare benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment activities.
  • Assist in Payroll draft audits to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
  • Partner with payroll and benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee benefits.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, I-9 verification, and system setup.
  • Maintain and reverify I-9 documentation for current employees in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Coordinate offboarding activities, including final pay, benefits termination, and preparation of separation letters.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries, providing guidance and timely assistance.
  • Manage employee milestone programs, such as bi-annual anniversary certificates.
  • Plan and execute employee events and celebrations for company locations near headquarters.
  • Complete annual HR compliance poster orders and distribution.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to provide OSHA work and average hour data for OSHA 300 reporting.
  • Support the HR team with special projects, process improvements, and HR initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state (WA, OR, MT, ID), and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
