About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the organization by managing key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance tracking, and employee training. This role ensures employee records are accurate, policies are followed, and HR processes run efficiently. The HR Coordinator serves as a point of contact for employees and supervisors, providing guidance and support across HR and training functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and compliance standards in United States.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce, Relias).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must pass a Washington State background check.
  • Must have a WA Driver License and Auto Insurance.
  • Need to complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training to obtain CPI Blue Card.
  • Complete and pass the background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter, or as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment and onboarding for assigned region/district.
  • Coordinates orientation and onboarding for new employees.
  • Completes HR portion of New Hire Orientation.
  • Prepares new-employee files and enters data into Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Completes Form I-9, verifies documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits background checks, schedules fingerprint appointments/renewals, and tracks results.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date personnel, training, and digital files.
  • Ensures all employee files and paperwork are maintained per legal and company requirements.
  • Conducts regular audits of HR, benefits, and training files.
  • Monitors compliance items, certifications, and training requirements; follows up with Directors/Supervisors as needed.
  • Manages Relias, Washington Training Tracker, HR Compliance Tracker and other compliance systems.
  • Oversees training compliance reporting and communicates updates weekly per SOP.
  • Ensures timely completion and filing of staff performance appraisals (90-day, probationary, and annual).
  • Data entry into Dayforce.
  • Provides verification of employment information within 24 hours of request.
  • Provides HR customer service by responding to employee questions in person, by phone, and email.
  • Assists with disciplinary action support.
  • Conducts exit interviews, preparing summaries for Administration/HR.
  • Prepares training reports (certifications, tracking, scheduled training).
  • Supports rollout of new training initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides training and support to Supervisors/Directors on compliance and HR processes.
  • Oversees the HR department email account and responds or forwards messages as needed.
  • Performs clerical tasks such as photocopying, mailing, scanning, and filing.
  • Collaborates with other departments to address HR, training, and operational needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
