About The Position

BrokerLink is seeking an HR Consultant to provide support and guidance on various HR matters including performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, change management, compensation, benefits, training and development, and respect in the workplace. This role involves developing strong partnerships with managers and employees, leading or participating in HR projects and initiatives, and providing practical, straightforward advice. The ideal candidate will be proactive in anticipating and avoiding problems, comfortable working autonomously, and communicating with a remote team. This is a 19-month contract position.

Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related area.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • CPHR is required (or in progress)
  • Experience in developing and delivering HR training programs to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of the Employment Legislation in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Ontario.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative, flexible and have a business-oriented outlook
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team members and stakeholders
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout their employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and direction to managers and employees on matters pertaining to employee relations, performance management, disability management, the interpretation and application of company policies and employment legislation and change management initiatives.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of conflicts, complaints or problems.
  • Ensure consistent understanding and delivery of HR policies and programs within the assigned client group.
  • Support the acquisition and integration process within the assigned client group.
  • Lead or participate in the review of current human resources management programs and practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees as part of the deployment and implementation strategy of programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate HR programs or cyclical initiatives as required.
