About The Position

The HR Benefits Coordinator provides entry-level administrative support for employee benefit programs across the United States and Canada. This role is responsible for the accurate processing, maintenance, and reconciliation of benefits-related data while ensuring timely coordination between payroll, HR systems, benefit vendors, and Shared Services. The coordinator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day benefits operations, maintaining data integrity, and assisting with employee inquiries, while gaining foundational experience in benefits administration within a collaborative HR environment. This is a 4-month temporary role.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow instructions and possess an attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary
  • Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer weekly U.S. 401(k) payroll contribution files, ensuring accurate and timely transmission to vendors and alignment with payroll data
  • Reconcile benefit vendor billing and invoices
  • Track, administer, and maintain accurate records for employee leaves of absence in both the U.S. and Canada
  • Maintain and audit employee benefit data between HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Assist with daily administration of benefit plans, including enrollments, life events, and ongoing employee updates
  • Partner closely with the HR Shared Services center to support Tier 1 employee benefit inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Support ongoing process improvements and documentation related to benefits administration
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed in support of the broader HR and Total Rewards function
