About The Position

The HR Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, providing administrative, recruiting, benefits, payroll, and onboarding support across the organization. This role assists the HR Generalist and HR Manager with full-cycle recruiting, new hire onboarding and orientation, benefits and payroll processing, headcount tracking, and maintaining accurate and compliant employee records. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions in a fast-moving manufacturing or warehouse environment, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and data integrity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or related support role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with benefits and payroll processing systems.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Experience with I-9 verification and employment eligibility processes.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and maintaining employee data and records.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and candidates simultaneously through the full recruiting cycle.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the HR Generalist, HR Manager, and hiring managers across departments.
  • Trustworthy and professional, with strict discretion in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Reliable and organized, with strong follow-through on multiple, concurrent HR tasks and deadlines.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance basics.

Responsibilities

  • Support Benefits and Payroll: Assist with full-cycle benefits administration and payroll processing, including enrollments, changes, deductions, and resolving employee questions.
  • Manage Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own full-cycle recruiting efforts — posting requisitions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers — in coordination with the HR Generalist/HR Manager and hiring managers.
  • Conduct Onboarding and Orientation: Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, including I-9 verification and completion of new hire paperwork, to ensure a smooth and compliant start for every employee.
  • Maintain Data Integrity: Enter and maintain accurate employee data in HR systems, ensuring data integrity across personnel files, payroll, and benefits records.
  • Track Headcount: Monitor and manage headcount reporting, tracking open positions, new hires, and terminations to support workforce planning.
  • Assist HR Leadership: Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the HR Generalist and/or HR Manager, helping execute HR initiatives and daily operations.
  • Support Policy Implementation: Assist with the rollout, communication, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Handle general administrative duties for the HR department, including filing, correspondence, scheduling, and maintaining department records.
