About The Position

Supports HR programs and initiatives by providing data-driven insights, maintaining online resources, and enhancing communication tools that improve employee access to HR services and information. With regular attendance, this position supports recruitment and hiring activities and is a key partner in the transition to a new HRIS system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Experience in human resources, business administration, and/or HRIS.
  • Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, as well as meet eligibility requirements of “acceptable driving standards” as defined by the County.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite and other software related to data management, communication, and other common business processes.
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures for confidentiality while adapting to evolving privacy standards and technologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within a team.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations governing public sector recruitment, selection, and employment practices.
  • Knowledge of HR data management systems, HRIS platforms, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update job description articulation duties and qualifications.
  • Interpret and explain rules, regulations, procedures, and Human Resource laws to Elected Officials/Department Heads, and all County employees.
  • Assist with full cycle recruitment and hiring activities; posting of jobs, coordinating recruitment plans and lead applicant communication.
  • Ensure all pre-employment and onboarding paperwork, including offer letters, background checks, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and introduce employees to County policies, culture, and resources.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of HR data within HRIS and related systems.
  • Manage content and updates for the Human Resources website and Intranet to ensure information is current, accurate, and user-friendly.
  • Participate in special projects and County-wide initiatives involving workforce planning, compensation, employee engagement, organizational development, technology implementation, and HR modernization.
  • Maintain position control records and reconcile authorized positions with budgeted staffing levels, organizational structures, and HRIS data.
  • Assist with the implementation, testing, configuration, and ongoing administration of HR technology, systems, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
