The Housing Stabilization Specialist advocates for families who have transitioned from CCA-supported family shelter sites into permanent housing, conducting stabilization activities to help preserve their tenancies. The role includes at least monthly outreach to families and landlords, mediating relationships, intervening when a tenancy is at risk, and advocating for clients in housing court. The specialist assesses changing client and family needs, helps connect them with medical care and other resources, and monitors children’s school progress. The role documents stabilization plans and progress in the ETO online platform and Touchpoints, and collaborates with case managers and housing navigation liaisons to support smooth transitions. This is a hybrid position for applicants residing in the Boston, Massachusetts area. It requires regular on-site presence at a designated housing hub and an assigned shelter location in Massachusetts, as well as regular travel to client locations during working hours. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required.
