What would you do as a Housing Stability Specialist As a new Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, you can expect a dynamic and engaging schedule from Monday to Friday. Each day, you will assist clients in navigating rental assistance programs like Section 8 and ensure they understand their options for affordable housing. Your role will involve conducting assessments and developing personalized case management plans that address individual needs and circumstances. You'll spend time on the phone and in virtual meetings, providing guidance and support to clients while also documenting their progress meticulously. Daily tasks may include outreach to community partners and housing providers to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring all resources are available for your clients. You will participate in team meetings to discuss best practices and strategies for tackling housing challenges. Ultimately, you will be dedicated to empowering clients with the resources needed to secure stable housing while demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in homeless and housing services
  • A valid Ohio driver's license with four points or less
  • Proof of insurance
  • A reliable personal vehicle for transportation to be utilized for work purposes

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency in software tools for case management and client tracking
  • Certification in Housing Quality Standards (HQS)
