Full Time Housing Custodian

About The Position

The Housing Custodian performs janitorial duties for buildings and related areas under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor or Manager. The role requires quality customer service and knowledge of, or willingness to learn, proper cleaning techniques. The custodian also engages with leaders, stakeholders, customers, visitors, and clients, and collaborates with other employees.

Requirements

At least six months of related customer service and/or facility services experience.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good client/customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, and bending, and to perform repetitive movements.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license.
Floor care experience.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and stairs.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Empty trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as needed.
Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
Clean windowsills and windows.
Keep janitor closets clean, organized, and safe.
Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
Properly label, dilute, and use chemicals.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
Keep vending closets clean, organized, and safe.
Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
Engage with leaders, stakeholders, customers, visitors, and clients, and collaborate with other employees.
