About The Position

Responsible for the delivery of case management services to survivors of gender-based violence. The Housing/Hotline Case Manager is also responsible for operating ROADS hotline, assisting with housing applications, engaging in community outreaches, screening for needs, and connecting survivors to the most supportive services.

Requirements

Bachelors required.
Experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence.
Computer-literate, specifically with Microsoft applications, required.
Valid NYS driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AWADS a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate the ROADS hotline.
Support families, including children over age 6, by providing case management that enables them to become more economically self-reliant, maintain permanent housing, build job skills, and access community resources independently.
Document all services delivered with and on behalf of the clients in AWARDS.
Support survivors through a trauma-focused lens to assess for appropriateness of ROADS services, develop a survivor consented service plan, facilitate linkages to social service programs; and explore options for safety, legal, financial, employment, housing, medical care, etc.
Support survivors assessing their own resources and support systems.
Operate ROADS hotline Monday-Friday (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm).
Ensure all data collected in AWARDS is accurate and entered in a timely manner.
Serve as a liaison and advocate with housing, legal, medical, and or financial agencies.
Develops linkages with community programs to support the identified needs of survivors, including, but not limited to, education/training, employment, mental health, substance use, medical, rental assistance, financial issues, etc.
Engage in community outreaches.
