About The Position
As a Houseperson at The Ben, West Palm Beach, you play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the housekeeping team and maintaining a seamless, luxurious environment for our guests. You will be responsible for assisting Room Attendants, maintaining pristine corridors and service areas, stocking linen closets, and delivering requested items with speed and care. Through your proactive support, physical efficiency, and attention to detail, you ensure our housekeeping team operates smoothly while upholding the hotel's reputation for outstanding hospitality. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a genuine commitment to delivering a memorable guest experience. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned floors and public areas at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Clean and maintain hotel public spaces, including hallways, elevators, stairwells, service areas, and other designated locations, following established cleanliness, safety, and security standards.
- Remove trash, soiled linens, terry, newspapers, and room service trays from guest floors and service areas, transporting materials to designated disposal or laundry locations.
- Stock linen closets, supply rooms, and housekeeping carts to maintain established par levels and support efficient departmental operations.
- Assist Room Attendants with operational needs, including delivering bed boards, rollaway beds, cribs, and other housekeeping equipment.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, lost and found items, damaged property, or missing hotel assets to the appropriate supervisor.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, providing exceptional service while escalating concerns or complaints as appropriate to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe housekeeping storage areas, service corridors, and workspaces.
- Follow all hotel policies, departmental procedures, and safety regulations while performing assigned duties.
- Support the Housekeeping team with additional operational tasks and special projects as assigned to ensure a clean, welcoming, and exceptional guest environment.
