About The Position

Oakmont Country Club is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our Food & Beverage Services team. This essential role helps ensure our Clubhouse and event spaces are prepared to the highest standards, creating exceptional experiences for our members and guests. The Houseperson is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down dining rooms, banquet spaces, and other Clubhouse areas before, during, and after events. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move equipment and supplies as required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility throughout each work shift.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties.
  • Must be able to operate all necessary equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain appropriate grooming standards established by Oakmont.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospitality, banquet, or food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Clubhouse and assigned areas.
  • Read and follow event party sheets to accurately set up meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and dining areas.
  • Arrange room layouts according to event specifications.
  • Set, reset, and break down tables and event spaces before and after functions.
  • Refill salt and pepper shakers and ensure dining tables are properly stocked.
  • Replenish guest room and event supplies as needed.
  • Transport linens to and from the laundry for daily operations.
  • Perform opening, closing, and general housekeeping duties.
  • Attend pre-event meetings as requested.
  • Clean, organize, and return equipment to its designated storage location.
  • Prepare dining rooms and banquet areas for daily service and special events.
  • Assist with buffet service during Club events as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of porches, patios, and exterior entrances.
  • Assist with deliveries to Club outlets, including the Paddle Hut, Grounds Department, Golf House, Golf Shop, Pool, and Fitness Center.
  • Immediately notify management of maintenance issues, safety concerns, or other operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
