About The Position
The Houseperson maintains cleanliness in assigned areas, supports room attendants, and ensures adherence to brand standards. The role combines physical labor, attention to detail, and guest interaction. Duties may adapt to meet evolving business needs. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35–50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required for assisting with hotel shuttle runs.
- Flexible schedule, as the hotel operates 24/7.
- Offers are contingent on background checks.
- Adherence to Newport Handbook policies is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and other public areas.
- Assist housekeeping staff with laundry and room cleaning.
- Assist with hotel shuttle runs.
- Empty trash and respond promptly to guest requests.
