About The Position

The Houseperson provides essential support to the housekeeping department, ensuring the smooth operation of hotel services. This role involves delivering linens, toiletries, and other necessary supplies, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and stock of public areas and storage rooms. The Houseperson also assists with room preparation, deep cleaning projects, and laundry operations. A key aspect of this role is providing exceptional guest service and responding promptly to guest needs. Additionally, the Houseperson performs basic maintenance tasks, handles chemicals safely, operates cleaning equipment, and collaborates with team members to ensure overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provides support to the housekeeping department by delivering linens, toiletries, and other supplies as needed and replenishes supplies in public areas.
Assists with preparing rooms for cleaning upon guest departures and with deep cleaning projects.
Performs all tasks and functions related to laundry and linen care.
Maintains appropriately stocked linen and storage rooms.
Meets all cleanliness and time requirement standards established for cleaning various areas of the hotel.
Provides exceptional guest service and responds promptly to guest inquiries and concerns.
Performs basic maintenance skills including plunging toilets, changing light bulbs, and changing batteries.
Handles chemicals and cleaning supplies with care and in accordance with standards.
Operates commercial laundry and cleaning equipment.
Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
