About The Position

HHS Environmental Services is seeking a dependable, motivated Relief Supervisor to support daily environmental services operations at a hospital. The position supports housekeeping department leadership in maintaining cleanliness and consistency throughout the facility and helps create a safe, clean, comfortable environment for patients. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
GED or high school diploma.
Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.
Able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
Able to handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience.
Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant duties, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure all areas are covered.
Perform daily inspections and maintain quality control programs.
Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment needed to complete assignments.
Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
Clean hospital areas as needed to ensure full coverage.
Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management to help the department operate efficiently.
