About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures cleanliness standards are met by assigning tasks, inspecting work, and training associates to handle customer requests. The position supports the housekeeping department’s quality, efficiency, and safety, while helping maintain the cleanliness of hotel rooms, public areas, parking lots, and exterior entrances.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Customer service skills.
Prioritization and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
Inspect assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
Provide objective feedback to room attendants to improve efficiency and quality.
Ensure associates have appropriate supplies, equipment, uniforms, nametags, and designated personal protective equipment.
Train associates on safety standards and consistently enforce those standards.
Address unsafe behaviors and complete accident investigations, taking steps to prevent future accidents.
Perform housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
Perform opening and closing shift duties.
Move heavy furniture.
Notify the maintenance department of needed repairs.
Monitor the cleanliness of the hotel, including the parking lot and exterior entrances.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
