About The Position

The Housekeeping Specialist works in an assigned area and is responsible for keeping it clean. Duties include vacuuming, wet mopping, damp dusting, spot cleaning, and properly disposing of general trash and waste that may be infectious or hazardous. The role also prepares upcoming move-ins, maintains supplies and equipment, and helps ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across communication channels.
• Familiarity with general and departmental safety requirements.
• Ability to lift tools, equipment, and other items weighing approximately 30 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and off ladders.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of multifamily housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for upcoming move-ins.
• Keep assigned areas clean through vacuuming, wet mopping, damp dusting, and spot cleaning.
• Properly dispose of general trash and waste that may be infectious or hazardous.
• Track supplies and equipment and notify the Maintenance Supervisor when materials are low.
• Follow applicable safety procedures, policies, and manufacturer instructions.
• Use proper aseptic techniques and safety precautions while performing unit duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with residents, families, and coworkers.
