About The Position

The Housekeeping Specialist works in an assigned area and is responsible for keeping it clean. Duties include vacuuming, wet mopping, damp dusting, spot cleaning, and properly disposing of general trash and waste that may be infectious or hazardous. The position also prepares upcoming move-ins, tracks supplies and equipment, and notifies the Maintenance Supervisor when materials are low. The specialist follows applicable safety procedures, policies, and manufacturer instructions; uses proper aseptic techniques and safety precautions; maintains a safe, clean environment with necessary supplies and equipment; and communicates courteously and professionally with residents, families, and coworkers.

Requirements

• One or more years of multifamily housekeeping experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills via all communication channels.
• Familiarity with general and departmental safety requirements.
• Ability to lift tools, equipment, and other items in the unit weighing approximately 30 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and off ladders.
