About The Position

The Housekeeping House Person supports hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction by maintaining public spaces, assisting room attendants, and providing requested items to guest rooms. The role helps create a comfortable stay through attentive service and care in preparing and maintaining hotel areas. The position is at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott.

Requirements

Housekeeping experience is desirable.
Neat, pleasant personality.
Time management skills.
Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.
Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
Work as a team to accomplish hotel cleanliness goals.
Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen.
Pick up clean linen and refill the par stock of linen in each floor pantry.
Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other requested items to guest rooms.
Perform room attendant duties when necessary.
Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies in each floor pantry.
Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during super cleaning or spring cleaning of rooms.
Clean public areas according to prescribed procedures and department standard operating procedures.
Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and take them to appropriate locations according to prescribed procedures.
Respond to guests and team members in a friendly and helpful manner.
