About The Position

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in Evanston, Illinois, is hiring a full-time Housekeeping Director. The role pays $50,000 and includes benefits. The schedule is an 8-hour shift, with every other weekend required. The director oversees daily housekeeping operations and staff, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety and sanitation requirements in a mental health care environment. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Excellent organizational and team management skills.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
• Compassion, tolerance, and understanding of adults with mental disorders.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

• Organize employee shifts and training.
• Educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor rooms and private and public areas for cleanliness.
• Ensure daily housekeeping operations run smoothly.
• Oversee staff performance.
• Schedule shifts and arrange replacements when employees are absent.
• Motivate team members and resolve issues.
• Respond to resident complaints and special requests.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies and regulations.
