About The Position

The Housekeeping Attendant helps keep the hotel clean, cared for, and running smoothly. This hands-on member of the Housekeeping team supports public spaces, outdoor areas, laundry, and guestrooms, and assists other departments as needed. The role requires a dependable, adaptable approach and initiative to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, hospitality, facilities, or a related role.
• Basic cleaning skills and a strong eye for detail.
• Comfort working across indoor and outdoor areas of a hotel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and use good judgment.
• Comfort working independently while supporting a larger team.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach with guests.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to help wherever needed.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and work with approved cleaning agents.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
• Ability to frequently walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently or use a dolly when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, public areas, and common spaces.
• Remove trash and cigarette butts from hotel grounds and maintain outdoor areas.
• Clean lobbies, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, and other high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior windows, guestroom doors, sliding glass doors, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain pool furniture, ice and vending machines, public benches, exterior light fixtures, sand urns, and dumpster areas.
• Run laundry and assist with distributing or handling linens.
• Empty Housekeeping trash and support Room Attendants with daily housekeeping needs.
• Shampoo carpets and turn mattresses as assigned.
• Report maintenance concerns, damage, and missing or found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist the Maintenance team with basic repairs, including minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Safely use approved cleaning products and equipment.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow team members.
• Support other departments and hotel team members wherever needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.
