About The Position

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for enhancing the Resident experience by keeping all areas of the community neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. Attention to detail and cleanliness is essential to delivering the service Grand Living promises to Residents and their family members.

The role models The Sterling Touch® by providing friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional service while maintaining common areas and Resident apartments. The position works under the general guidance of the Director of Environmental Services and follows Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with Residents, guests, and fellow employees; explain and record Resident requests; comprehend work requests; differentiate individual linen use and care; and understand product labels and Community communications.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead for cleaning tasks, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas of the community neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests.
• Provide housekeeping services and maintain common areas and Resident apartments.
• Deliver friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional service to Residents and guests.
• Respond to and record Resident requests, comprehend work requests, and handle linens and cleaning products appropriately.
