About The Position

The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. The role also supports resident care and compassion and follows facility policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The position is listed as full-time, with days and evenings.

Requirements

• Perform housekeeping services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Use personal protective equipment as required by exposure risks and facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services that support a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public.
• Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility policy while maintaining resident privacy; knock and announce before entering a resident room.
• Post signs to identify safety hazards whenever housekeeping activities create environmental hazards for staff, residents, visitors, or others.
• Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds after a resident is discharged.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids and whenever facility policies and procedures require it.
• Provide care and compassion to patients served.
