About The Position

The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Services must comply with facility policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The role is listed as full-time, with days and evenings.

Requirements

• Provide housekeeping services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility policy.
• Maintain residents’ privacy, including knocking and announcing before entering any resident room.
• Post signs to indicate safety hazards when housekeeping activities create environmental hazards for staff, residents, visitors, or others.
• Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds after a resident is discharged.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids, and whenever facility policies and procedures indicate.
