About The Position

The Housekeeping Aide completes daily cleaning assignments to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, employees, and visitors at a Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Brooklyn, NY. Work must comply with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies and procedures. This is a part-time, 1199-represented position. Requirements

• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive work.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily cleaning assignments to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
• Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and disinfect furniture, fixtures, walls, and urinals according to assignment.
• Fill dispensers.
• Dispose of trash and bio-waste materials.
• Set up for resident/patient and department activities as necessary.
• Move furniture when necessary.
