About The Position
American House is hiring a part-time Housekeeper at its Riverview assisted living community. The Housekeeper helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming home for residents by cleaning resident apartments and public areas, maintaining sanitation, and handling laundry and linens. The role includes politely interacting with prospective resident tours. Requirements
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment such as a vacuum, mop, and washer/dryer.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Ability to work various schedules and shifts.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Responsibilities
- Clean resident apartments by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, removing trash, making beds, and providing linen service.
- Clean public spaces and restrooms, and ensure supplies are adequate throughout the day.
- Monitor the building for cleanliness and sanitation needs.
- Transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute personal laundry and linens.
- Change bedding and maintain tidy laundry spaces.
- Interact politely with prospective resident tours.
